Our Technology

Our online web-based calculators are written in a simple, yet powerful scripting language called JavaScript. Originally designed by Netscape, JavaScript has been widely accepted to be just as versatile as its complicated and harder to use counterpart called Java, which was developed by Sun Microsystems.

Our calculators utilize this powerful JavaScript technology within the clients HTML web page, which means once the page is loaded, the calculators never have to be redirected to a server for calculations, or have to wait for plug-in's to be loaded before the results are displayed. This makes MortgageTools™ Web calculators unique, extremely reliable, valuable, and easy to implement.

The problem with those "other" mortgage calculators that are sold on the market today is their use of Java programming (or some other complicated cgi/perl scripting language) that require "applets" to be installed on your server, and a "plug-in" to be installed on the users browser. Microsoft no longer bundles there operating system with the Java platform so more and more of your potential clients are not going to be able to use those "other" calculators. And, if you're like many internet users, we are all leery of having anything installed on our computer when we visit a web site. You never know if they contain any viruses or spyware.
